Why
are lithium batteries particularly suited
for cameras?
Lithium batteries offer relatively high
volume-specific energy (approx.800mWh/cml).
In addition, lithium batteries, which have
spirally wound large-surface electrodes,
have a high load capability and high capacity
retention during storage. Both the lithium
battery¡¯s longer operating time and its
higher cell voltage of 3V are important
in camera applications, The latest generation
of cameras is fitted out with numerous automatic
functions, which means increased energy
coupled with relatively high load requirements.
Lithium batteries of this type are a particularly
good choice for today¡¯s cameras.
